Qualifications for Services
If you can answer yes to the following requirements, then you are eligible to participate in the GATE:
- Reside in Baltimore City
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Have a good attitude and ready to work
- Willing to adhere to a personalized employability program
At the present time there is no charge for services at the GATE. Entry into the GATE varies according to the requirements placed by the funding entity.
Length of Time to Complete the GATE
Following orientation, academic testing and a full psycho-social assessment (approximately 2 days), recommendations for placement into the GATE or with one of the GATE Partners will be offered to the customer. If a customer is placed into one of the occupational skills training or academic courses the completion of training may vary. All customers must complete a ten-day employment enhancement readiness workshop.
